Install the extensionChrome, Brave, Edge, Arc and Opera on Windows, Mac, Linux and ChromeOS.4 steps · 2 min
- Open the store pageDuring early access, the install link comes by email. Once we are live, the "Add to Chrome" button on our site opens it.
- Click Add to ChromeThen confirm with Add extension. Chrome shows the access it needs for tradingview.com, and that is the only site it runs on.
- Pin itClick the puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar and pin ChartBackgrounds, so its controls are one click away.
- Open any TradingView chartYour skin is already behind the candles. A small note shows the on/off shortcut and disappears by itself.
Why does it ask to "read and change data on tradingview.com"?
That is Chrome's standard wording for any extension that draws on a page. ChartBackgrounds only paints behind the candles. It never reads your symbols, orders, positions or account.
Does it work on my phone?
No. Mobile browsers don't run Chrome extensions. Use it on a computer.
