These terms cover your use of chartbackgrounds.com and the ChartBackgrounds browser extension ("ChartBackgrounds", "we", "us"). By using either, you agree to them.

What ChartBackgrounds is

ChartBackgrounds adds animated backgrounds behind TradingView charts in your browser. It is a visual tool only. It does not give trading signals, financial advice or investment recommendations, and it never places orders. Nothing on the site or in the extension is financial advice.

Not affiliated with TradingView

ChartBackgrounds is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TradingView, Inc. TradingView may change its website at any time, which can temporarily affect how the extension works. We fix these issues as fast as we reasonably can.

Prop firms and broker rules

Some prop firms and brokers have rules about browser extensions on evaluation or funded accounts. You are responsible for checking and following the rules of any platform you trade on.

Free and paid plans

• The free plan may change over time. During early access, every feature is available for free.
• Paid plans (such as Pro or Founding Pro) are billed through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay.
• Founding Lifetime is a one-time payment that gives you Pro for as long as ChartBackgrounds offers Pro, including new skins. It does not renew.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Ownership and license

The skins, animations, extension, website, name and logo are original works owned by ChartBackgrounds. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use them through the extension while you follow these terms. Posting screenshots and clips of your own chart is always fine.

Your content

Videos, images and logos you add in My media or Brand stay on your own computer and are never uploaded to us. Only use files you have the right to use. If you send us a logo for a Server Kit or a post for Setup of the Week, you confirm you have the rights to it and let us use it for that purpose. See our Copyright policy, which also explains how to report a problem.

Rewards and Creator Codes

Setup of the Week and Creator Codes follow the rules on our Rewards page. We may change or end these programs at any time; earned rewards and approved earnings are still honored.

Acceptable use

Don't resell, redistribute or repackage the extension or its skins, don't try to bypass paid features, and don't use ChartBackgrounds to break any law or any platform's terms.

No warranty

ChartBackgrounds is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including trading losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll note it on this page with a new date. Continuing to use ChartBackgrounds after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
