Short version: the ChartBackgrounds extension collects nothing. The website only keeps the email you type into the early-access form.

The browser extension

It runs only on tradingview.com pages and only changes how the chart background looks on your own screen.
It does not read your symbols, orders, positions, drawings, account or browsing history.
It makes no network requests. There are no analytics, trackers or ads.
Your settings (chosen skin, sliders, Sessions, Shuffle, Studio colors) are saved with Chrome's own storage. If you are signed in to Chrome with sync turned on, Chrome syncs them between your computers. We never see them.
A video or image you add in My media is stored only on that computer, inside the extension. It is never uploaded.
It never changes your TradingView settings or saved layouts. The only TradingView change it can make is switching to the dark theme, and only when you press that button.

If you join early access, we store your email address, which button you used, the page that sent you and your browser type. We use it only to email you about ChartBackgrounds.
The list is stored with Supabase. It is never sold or shared.
The site uses no cookies and no analytics. Fonts load from Google Fonts.

To have your email removed, or to ask anything about this policy, email [email protected]. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored.
